GOEIC holds a seminar on the laboratory management system LMS presented by ElMehy Engineering Company Agent of Waters International in Egypt

The General Organization for Export and Import Control is holding a seminar on the Laboratory Management System (LMS), presented by ElMehy Engineering Company, agent of the International Waters Company in Egypt. The international expert for the company, Dr. Peter Gruener providing a detailed presentation on the capabilities of the system in providing digital solutions in automating and linking the procedures of the laboratories deployed in GOEIC.

 

The seminar aims to identify the best international practices applied in this field by reviewing case studies from major international institutions advanced in providing digital solutions and networking systems in order to keep pace with the requirements of the comprehensive strategic plan of the state and implement the directives of the President of the Republic in the governance of ports and accelerate the procedures for assessing conformity in ports for goods As well as tightening control over the circulation, import and export of inferior goods, and to implement international requirements in this field using the latest artificial intelligence application systems.

 

As the LMS laboratory management system is one of the systems that serve the services provided by the General Organization for Export and Import Control, such as the unit for issuing conformity certificates for products established by GOEIC, which is an internationally accredited and registered unit according to the ISO:17065 systems, which works to increase the competitiveness of Egyptian industry products for export to global markets.

 

The General Organization for Exports and Imports Control has been registered among the international conformity assessment bodies accepted by the Saudi “Saber” program, with the approval of the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality.

 

It is worth noting that the GOEIC provides many services to the business community, including exporters and importers, in light of its possession of a large number of competencies and young cadres that can be used to upgrade the service system and speed up the implementation of procedures in line with the requirements of digital transformation adopted by the state, the most important of which are:

 

Quality testing services for exporters and sample analysis at the request of the concerned person, which aims to reduce the burdens on Egyptian exporting companies by utilizing GOEIC laboratories to issue the quality certificates required for the entry of Egyptian products exported to global markets within the framework of achieving the state’s strategy to reach Egyptian exports to 100 billion dollars.

 

In addition to registering with the Approved Exporter system within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership Agreement, based on the recommendations of the National Committee for Rules of Origin, with the aim of facilitating exporters’ access to foreign markets.
