GOEIC is a service organization whose primary objective is to facilitate the movement of trade, develop and encourage Egyptian exports, remove any obstacles that may hinder its prosperity and development, and expand its scope in all fields, through its competencies that aim to protect the Egyptian citizen and activate the principle of transparency and flexibility in the field of quality control over exports and imports guided by the approved international specifications and the importance of ensuring the need to adhere to the unification of all procedures related to the work of GOEIC in all locations, as well as attention By selecting second-row leaders to improve their performance and development in line with the spirit of the times and its rapid rhythm.

The General principles :

First: Exports

Concerning small exporters and sensitizing them to stand by them and provide them with all export instructions that help them to compete globally and helping them e launch in the global markets

Second: Industrial and non-industrial imports
  • Continuous follow-up in the finalization of procedures, follow-up, and evaluation of results
  • Establish a system whereby technical and practical procedures are not disrupted to eliminate the backlog of or damage to shipments, fines for delays, verification of the integration of the documentary cycle of communications, and accurate collection of prescribed fees
Third: Laboratories
  • Ensure the establishment of the latest laboratories and provide them with the latest technical means for inspection and testing work to conform to international standards
  • Standardization of inspection and testing in all laboratories of GOEIC
  • Accreditation of all GOEIC’s laboratories to ensure accuracy and international recognition of results
  • Establish periodic programs to calibrate and maintain devices and make them usable
  • Implement programs to update the technical and practical information and skills of workers and develop their outstanding technical capabilities
  • Full compliance with the binding standards adopted by the General Authority for Specifications and Quality
  • Establish an internal monitoring system to ensure compliance with the test labs' efficiency rules and the accuracy of their results
Fourth: Training
  • Training the employees of GOEIC in both the specialized training centers (internally and externally) through specific annual plans and attention to training in languages, computers, and specialized work to raise their skills and give them an opportunity for intellectual and practical creativity, especially the youth of the employees of GOEIC to be the second grade of leadership..
  • Taking care of periodic on-the-job training for all employees.
Fifth: Information systems and digital transformation

• Within the framework of the Egyptian State's endeavor to improve the capacity of the administrative apparatus in its various ministries and units to develop working methods and procedures, in line with the national agenda for sustainable development and the vision of Egypt 2030, the Central Directorate of Information Systems and Digital Transformation policy is centered in:

  • Establish the general framework of the Information Systems and Digital Transformation Plan of GOEIC in partnership with all relevant organizational divisions within GOEIC and submit it to the competent authority.
  • Development and provision of systems, applications and databases necessary for all areas of GOEIC's work and activities both internal and external
  • Manage and update GOEIC's portal so that it is a mechanism for effective communication with its clients.
  • Managing, updating, and securing systems, applications, and databases for all areas of GOEIC's work and activities, both internal and external
  • Adhere to cyber insurance controls and instructions for systems, applications, databases, and GOEIC's electronic portal while keeping backups periodically.
  • Establish and implement an integrated information system on GOEIC's internal networks to facilitate communication and exchange of information within GOEIC, between GOEIC and its headquarters or affiliates, and between it and other government agencies.
  • Establish the Training Needs Plan for Information Systems and Digital Transformation of GOEIC's staff, follow-up implementation, and evaluation of the impact of training
  • Continuous follow-up to ensure the achievement of targets and the sustainability of digitization and automation processes for the work and services of GOEIC and provide the information infrastructure necessary for the completion of the work and activities of GOEIC in the framework of a technically and professionally homogeneous working environment.
  • Scientific analysis of the content of electronic data, information, and documents and the work of summaries, reports, studies, graphs, forms, presentations, and provision of accurate and up-to-date information at national and detailed levels of foreign trade movement to facilitate follow-up and evaluation processes as well as decision-making based on evidence and information.
Sixth: Administrative Financial Affairs
  • Rationalization of government expenditure and compliance with expenditure items
  • Financial accession and substantive planning are key elements of good management.
  • Caring about workers' rights.
  • Take care of the periodic maintenance of the laboratory and administrative buildings to the convenience of the employees and dealers of GOEIC
