1. Upgrading the quality and efficiency of laboratories by documenting results by the highest international standards, and based on reference authorities, organizations and laboratories.
2. Promote and sustain resources in the services provided and optimize the investment of available resources (individuals, expertise, modern devices).
3. Expand the scope of competency tests to increase the readiness of technical personnel in conjunction with the development of modern capabilities and techniques in GOEIC's laboratories, in line with strategic plans and keeping pace with the development in the field of laboratories.
4. International accreditation of the Technical Efficiency Tests Unit.
5. Early warning system for problems and working to resolve them quickly.
6. Publication of an annual programme of technical competency testing programmes conducted by the Unit to serve all government laboratories, non-governmental laboratories and similar laboratories in all countries of the world in accordance to the Unit's accreditation area to international standard ISO/IEC 17043
7. Issuance of technical competency certificates to all laboratories participating in programmes published in the annual programme of all substantive activities in accordance with the Unit's area of accreditation.
8. Develop and operate substantive activities and add them to the Unit's area of accreditation and adjust the annual programme.
9. Provision of technical support services to all inspection and measurement laboratories interested in obtaining accreditation, whether it be government laboratories or large industrial factories laboratories, government laboratories, government research laboratories of Egyptian colleges, institutes and universities, auditing companies' laboratories and international laboratories worldwide.
