According to the economic reform policies pursued by the State to keep pace with the successive patterns and systems of global trade, the great interest of the political leadership was in the role played by GOEIC in serving the national economy, as many decisions, laws, and regulations were issued that confirmed the determination that "GOEIC” is the only regulatory body entrusted with the examination of exported and imported goods.

  • The Council of Ministers approved the Prime Minister's decree regarding the merger of the Chemistry administration, affiliated to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, into the General Organization for Export and Import Control by decree No. 3290 of 2021, so that all the rights and obligations of the merged authority will be transferred to the merged authority. All appropriations included in the budget of the merged authority for the current fiscal year shall also be transferred to the merged authority, provided that the General Organization for Export and Import Control shall replace the Chemistry administration wherever they are mentioned in the regulations and decrees in force.
