This event was attended by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Ms. Claudine Kawiak, Strategic Partner of the world's largest luxurious brands, Mr. Ibrahim Sami, Strategic Partner of the world's largest luxurious brands, Major General Essam El Naggar, Chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOIEC), Eng. Mohamed El Gossaki, Assistant Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade for Planning, Development and Digital Transformation, and Dr. Amani El Wasal, Head of Agreements and Foreign Trade Sector at the Ministry of Investment.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed the presence of representatives of international brands in New Alamein City, expressing his aspiration to cooperate with companies producing the international brands for making them available in the Egyptian market, as part of supporting shopping tourism in Egypt.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly indicated that the Egyptian market is very huge, and that there is a large number of Egyptian citizens travel abroad for shopping, and it is very necessary to bring these brands to the foreign tourists in Egypt.
The Prime Minister asserted that the reform measures undertaken by the government and the Central Bank of Egypt have contributed to the stability of the Foreign Exchange Market, within the framework of adhering to a Flexible Exchange Rate Policy that facilitated the flow of the hard currency and stabilization of the exchange rate.
While Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar demonstrated the Egyptian government's commitment to attract the global brands and support the shopping tourism, referring to the benefits and incentives offered to the companies investing in Egypt and the exemptions associated with the "Euro 1" Certificate in the Egyptian market.
During the meeting, Ms. Claudine Kawiak expressed her pleasure to be in Egypt, which she had previously visited several years ago, either for business or private vacations. She also expressed her admiration for the development Egypt has witnessed over the past years, as well as the stability of the situation there.
She pointed out that she would study the presence of international brands in Egypt and then transfer the results of the study to the international companies producing those brands, expressing her belief in the existence of promising investment opportunities in Egypt.
Ms. Claudine Kawiak explained that she will do her best to attract successful models of the field of the international brands to Egypt by creating a successful shopping experience for Egyptians and foreign tourists, as part of supporting shopping tourism.
Mr. Ibrahim Sami also expressed his aspiration to invest in Egypt and transfer his expertise there, and to invest in the international brands in Egypt.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his aspiration to cooperate with representatives of International Brands and the attempt of making them available in the Egyptian market through a plan is currently being implemented in such regard.
