Eng. Essam El Naggar inaugurates Home Appliances and Tableware Show (HATS 2025) as a leading platform that brings together Egyptian manufacturers with International Buyers, opening new horizons for Egyptian Engineering Exports.
Engineer Essam El Naggar, President of the GOEIC, accompanied by Engineer Sherif El Sayaad, Chairman of Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EECE), and Eng. Mai Helmy, Executive Director of the Council, inaugurated the International Buyers Mission (HATS 2025) that took place from November 16 to 18, 2025.
Engineering Export Council stated the participation of (27) Egyptian companies specialized in Home Appliances, Tableware and kitchen utensils Sectors, with the attendance of (55) foreign buyers from (29) countries, as part of the events of the fifth edition.
During the inauguration, Eng. Essam El Naggar said that launching HATS 2025 mission represents a strategic opportunity to enhance the position of Egyptian Engineering Exports globally, confirming that the Engineering Industries Sector has great potentials in the development and manufacturing to be more qualified to compete in International Markets.
He added that Egyptian non-petroleum exports recorded about $40.578 billion during the first ten months of this year, compared to $34.148 billion during the same period last year, achieving a growth rate of 18.8%.
President of the GOEIC predicted that total Egyptian exports would range between $48 billion and $50 billion by the end of 2025 for the first time, referring that this performance reflects expansion of Egyptian companies into new markets and enhances the competitiveness of Egyptian products, in addition to government efforts supporting exporters and improving the Foreign Trade environment.
During his proclamations on the sidelines of HATS 2025 Mission, Eng. Essam El Naggar affirmed that the GOEIC continues to support Egyptian companies in enhancing their products quality and facilitating their access to foreign markets, considering the Engineering Sector as one of the most important pillars of the national economy.
Engineer Sherif El Sayaad, Chairman of the Council, revealed that exports from home appliances, tableware and kitchen sectors recorded approximately $1.1 billion during the period from January to September 2025.
El Sayaad revealed the growth rate of exports from both sectors to major markets, United Arab of Emirates topped the list of the importing countries with a growth rate of 13.2%, followed by Saudi Arabia with 11.3%, then Iraq with an increase of 7.7%, furthermore Shipments to Morocco also increased by 5.6%, Turkey by 5.4%, and France by 5.2%.
Algeria and Georgia achieved similar growth rates of 4.6% of each, while exports to Libya recorded growth of 4.2%, Netherlands 3.7%, and Jordan 3.4%, reflecting the diversification of markets and the increasing external demand for Egyptian products.
Mai Helmy, Executive Director of the Export Council for Engineering Industries, said that the new edition of HATS 2025 comes as a continuation of the success achieved by previous sessions, which has been strongly reflected in the sector’s exports in recent years.
She referred to the broad participation of international buyers and signing actual export transactions with Egyptian companies in most previous editions that began in 2019.
She emphasized that the council is paying particular attention to attracting importers from promising markets in Africa, Gulf States, and Eastern Europe, thereby enhancing access to those markets. She added that the Egyptian engineering industries sector has significant manufacturing capabilities that qualify it to compete strongly in global markets, supporting the state's plan to increase exports to $145 billion annually.
