Entry into force of Decree No. 403 of 2022 on the import of certain goods in accordance with annex 3 of Regulation No. 770 of 2005 as of 5/10/2022
Eng. Essam Al-Naggar, Chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control, held a meeting with the registered inspection and review companies of GOEIC on the implementation of Decree No. 403 of 2022 concerning the import of certain goods under special conditions in accordance with annex 3 of regulation 770 of 2005 as of 5/10/2022.
The release of letters imported from these items is required to be from one of the registered producers of the General Organization for Export and Import Control in accordance with the provisions of Article 94 of these Regulations or to submit a certified inspection and review certificate containing the data of the letter and the results of the inspection and testing that indicate conformity with the Egyptian approved standards. The certificate must be issued by an authorized authority of the International Federation (ILAC) or by an Egyptian or foreign authority. It has certified laboratories and specializes in the tests required for each commodity approved by the Minister of Foreign Trade. The General Organization for Export and Import Control shall subject these letters to random inspection.
