In the framework of implementing the decision of the Minister of Trade and Industry with the competence of the General Organization for Export and Import Control to issue certificates of free sale of goods and industrial products that are required when exporting these certificates, the General organization for Export and Import Control issued 14 free sale certificates to Egyptian companies exporting to Tunisia, Morocco, Kuwait and Algeria for products Soap, pencils, coloured pencils and shoes.
Eng./ Essam Al-Najjar, chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control, said that the issuance of this certificate comes in implementation of the minister’s decision to have the organization to issue certificates of free sale of industrial goods and products that are required to be present upon export, which contributes to facilitating the entry of Egyptian exports to various foreign markets, and in line with the strategy of The ministry to support exporters and increase Egyptian exports to 100 billion dollars annually.
Al-Najjar explained that GOEIC takes into account the time for issuing the certificate, as it was issued within only four working days, including the necessary lab tests, through the unit for issuing conformity certificates in GOEIC, pointing out that the free sale certificates prove that the product to be exported is sold or traded in the local market. It is required for specific commodities when exporting to some countries, which include cosmetic products, sterile and non-sterile medical supplies and devices, some food and pharmaceutical products, and some pharmaceutical industry materials.
