Eng. Essam El-Naggar, President of the GOEIC, announces the issuance of the first Egyptian Certificate of Origin to China.

Commencing the actual application of the new model of the exceptional Certificate of Origin

In an important strategic step to enhance and facilitate access of Egyptian products to Asian markets, the new rules and procedural paths for certificates of origin regarding the exports to People’s Republic of China have come into effect.

 

The most prominent changes:

  • Complete cancellation of the previous form: The previous certificate of origin (Form F.A) for China has been officially suspended.

  

  • Mandatory new updated form: Full and complete accreditation is now linked to the updated form for the Certificate of Origin (Form for the Zero-Tariff Treatment), that is specifically designed to comply with the incentives and customs exemptions granted to Egyptian exports.

 

The actual application and successful practical implementation of the first export shipment for which the new certificate of origin was fully issued and authenticated accordance with the new technical requirements has been completed.

 

This instant application demonstrates the flexibility and speed of response of the Egyptian General Organization for Export and Import Control and Customs system in absorbing international updates.
