Eng. Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of the GOEIC, affirmed that inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum is a truly Egyptian celebration and a source of pride for every Egyptian citizen, whereas this cultural and historical edifice symbolizes that links the present and the glorious past and embodies the greatness of Egyptian civilization that has captivated the world for a period of thousands of years. In a statement to Dar Al-Maaref Portal, Eng. El-Naggar added that the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has presented an exemplary model of organization, preparation, and security at the highest level, reflecting a strong and modern image of Egypt capable of efficiently and effectively managing major global events.

He pointed out that the Grand Egyptian Museum is not merely an archaeological museum, but a global cultural beacon and a tourist and economic destination that contributes to supporting the tourism and international trade sectors. He confirmed that this achievement reflects Egypt's 2030 vision for human development and strengthening national identity. Eng. Essam El-Naggar concluded his statement by affirming that the feelings of pride and joy that fill the hearts of Egyptians today will remain a motivation for further work and achievement. He stressed that every Egyptian feels that this day is a historic one for all Egyptian, reaffirming to the world that Egypt was and will remain the cradle of civilization and a gathering place of cultures.
