Today, the Prime Minister/ Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met with Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, to review the most prominent work files of the Ministry.
The Minister presented the most important work axes pursued by the Ministry during the current and next phase, with the aim of improving the investment climate to make it more attractive to foreign investments, in addition to enhancing and developing foreign trade, to bring the value of Egyptian commodity exports to the highest levels.
Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib discussed the most important determinants of the Ministry’s vision to attract more investments, by removing all obstacles and creating supportive opportunities in this regard, in addition to the ministry’s plan with clear targets to double Egyptian exports.
The Minister also indicated the keenness to activate the important role of the General organization for Export and Import Control in the field of foreign trade, It works to improve the system of services provided to the exporting and importing community, in accordance with the latest internationally followed systems and rules, which contributes to facilitating the movement of foreign trade between Egypt and various global markets.
The Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Council of Ministers declares that The Minister proposed a number of decisions and procedures required to improve the investment climate, facilitate procedures, and advance the targeted sectors within the government’s work program, and instructed the Prime Minister to quickly view them to the Economic Group at its next meeting.
