Under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Eng. / Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, opened the “Plastics 2024” exhibition. The exhibition is expected to constitute a new era for the dynamic plastics and rubber industry.

With the support of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Chamber of Chemical Industries, the Department of Plastics Industries, and the Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council, Plastics 2024 pushes boundaries as a catalyst for transformation, shaping the next decade through innovation, collaboration, and a shared vision for sustainability.

After a tour of the “Plastics 2024” exhibition and the “Egypt Plast” exhibition, Eng./Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, said: “The Plastics Exhibition exceeded our expectations in displaying the latest industries.” As the first major plastics and rubber event in the Middle East and North Africa to contribute to the development of the Egyptian industry and product quality in accordance with international standards. “And to make Egypt an industrial base for this industry in the Middle East and Africa region, due to its capabilities, preferential features, and many essential elements for achieving operational and industrial excellence.”

He added: “Egypt represents a profitable and strategic market, which is clearly evident in the level of international participation that Cairo is witnessing today. The level of international participation is a testament to the important global cooperation necessary to advance the future of plastics and rubber in Egypt and the region.”

It is worth noting that this session expands on Plastics’ long-term commitment to forming valuable partnerships in the plastics and rubber industry, As a trusted partner for more than 30 years as a major destination and gateway for global brands, Plastics 2024 opens the door to the next generation of advanced technologies and sustainable practices, contributing to building a thriving ecosystem for the future.

One of the most important events witnessed by the “Plastics 2024” exhibition is that it is held simultaneously with the Egypt International Exhibition for Plastic and Rubber Products for Export, as an independent event accompanying the “Plastics 2024” exhibition. The main goal of organizing this event is to be a meeting point between Egyptian exporters and manufacturers of finished plastic products and raw materials. With buyers and importing traders from African countries and neighboring Arab countries, with the aim of revitalizing exports of Egyptian plastic products and penetrating more markets.

In cooperation with "Egypt Plast", the Plastics exhibition includes 30,000 visitors as a platform to connect core businesses, communicate and exploit new opportunities. With over 500 participating companies playing a key role from over 50 countries, the offered area extends over an area of ​​20,000 square meters. It gives attendees unrestricted access to a variety of materials, equipment, and technologies spanning more than 10 product categories, serving a variety of industries. It displays more than 60 high-tech heavy machinery, providing a presence of the latest developments in the field.
