In light of the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Trade and Industry, Eng. Ahmed Samir, on the necessity of cooperating with the private sector and supporting it in the technical aspects to encourage the movement of Egyptian exports.
Eng. Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control, held a meeting with the Engineering Export Council of Egypt, in the presence of Ms. Mai Helmy, Executive Director of the Council, and representatives of the Trade and Export Development Project in Egypt (USAID) to discuss the registration of the General Organization for Export and Import Control to obtain a quality certificate Gulf.
And to support the export of products from: (refrigerators - washing machines - stoves - heaters - air conditioners) to the Gulf countries according to the necessary standards and requirements.
Eng.Essam Al-Naggar reviewed what has been developed in GOEIC laboratories, as it owns a huge system of modern and distinguished laboratories. GOEIC seeks to increase the laboratory capacity of each laboratory and also to support the export process. and to ensure its global competitiveness and to achieve cooperation with the private sector, by examining products in GOEIC laboratories which will reduce the cost of the Exporter and provides hard currency for the country and also contributes to advancing production, in implementation of the state's policy and the promotion of Egyptian exports.
Eng. Essam Al-Naggar explained that GOEIC is currently internationally accredited according to standards ISO: 17065 and ISO: 17025 in many tests, and by the end of 2023, GOEIC will have finished accrediting all the tests for its laboratories in this field are accredited locally and internationally. GOEIC also has a precedent of success in registering with the Saudi Saber system, and it was one of the first government agencies in this regard.
