With the aim of supporting Egypt's foreign trade movement, the trial operation of the laboratories of GOEIC in Ain Sokhna port has begun.
As part of the implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and the instructions of the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Eng. Ahmed Samir, to facilitate inspection services and establish central laboratories in all major ports, expeditiously complete and perform work and reduce customs release time in order to support the foreign trade movement. Eng. Essam Al-Naggar, Chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control, announced the start of the Trial operation of the industrial laboratories of the GOEIC branch in Ain Sokhna port early this September.
Eng. Essam Al-Naggar noted GOEIC concern to conduct the various inspections and tests with high accuracy and quality in the least possible time to ensure that samples conform to standard specifications and health, safety and security standards, stressing the need for all workers to do more in order to finish the work quickly and accurately.
Eng. Essam Al-Naggar, Chairman of GOEIC, explained that the laboratories of GOEIC in Ain Sukhna include oil filters, fuel filters, batteries, toys, leather, shoes, tensile 100 tons, explosive pressure, spectroscopy labs, environmental tests, pumps, energy efficiency of household appliances, performance and safety tests of household appliances.
Eng. Essam Al-Naggar also added that the new laboratories include the energy efficiency labs for household appliances which includes heaters, refrigerators, brooms, washing machines, pallet In ovens and heaters , also the sampling workshop in addition to the performance and safety testing lab for household appliances, which includes boilers, cattle, ovens, irons, handcrafts, food preparation devices and electric packages, He noted that work is currently under way to equip the labs of abrasive stones, wheel rims and tires.
Finally, Eng. Essam Al-Naggar took an inspection tour of the new industrial lab building in Ain Sokhna port to follow up on all the equipment and preparations for the start of the lab's experimental work.
