In light of the directives of the political leadership, and in line with the Egypt's vision to deepen local manufacturing, localize advanced technology, and enhance the competitiveness of national exports, Engineer Essam El-Naggar, President of the GOEIC, conducted an official visit to Noyetec, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of establishing and developing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) laboratories, to discuss prospects of joint cooperation and the transfer of technical and technological expertise to the Egyptian market.
This visit comes in the context of the State’s moves for upgrading the infrastructure of quality and testing system, considered as one of the basic pillars for controlling the foreign trade system, and ensuring that Egyptian and international products conform to the highest standards of quality and safety, which contributes to enhancing access to international markets and opening up broader export horizons.
His Excellency was received by Mr. Zheng Yimin, CEO of the company, and an extensive discussion meeting was held that tackled ways of cooperation in a number of priority files, including the transfer and localization of electromagnetic compatibility testing technology, qualification of technical personnel according to the state-of-art global systems, and the alignment of the Egyptian system of standards and technical regulations with its international counterparts, in addition to supporting the establishment and development of specialized laboratories inside Egypt according to the latest technological systems.
Engineer Essam El-Naggar confirmed that Egypt pays a great attention to developing the system of inspection and control of exports and imports, as it is the first defense line to protect the local market, and one of the most important tools to support the national industry and enhance its competitiveness, referring that the GOEIC is moving forward in implementing a comprehensive strategy to update and develop its technical and laboratory capabilities, in line with international standards and enhance Egypt’s position as a regional center for trade and logistics services.
During the visit, President of the GOEIC, visited the company’s specialized laboratories, where he reviewed the latest technology in the design and construction of electromagnetic compatibility laboratories, including fully anechoic chambers, high-precision measurement and calibration systems, electromagnetic simulation systems, as well as quality management systems and international accreditation.
His Excellency praised the advanced level that the company has reached in this vital field, affirming the importance of making use of these distinguished international experiences in supporting the state’s efforts to develop the infrastructure for technical testing, and enabling the Egyptian industry to comply with the requirements of global markets, especially in the technological sectors and advanced industries.
On his part, the CEO of Noyetec reviewed the technical and technological capabilities owned by the company, pointing to its role in preparing and developing several standards, and their role in implementing major projects at the international level, as well as providing integrated solutions to a number of major global companies in the fields of electronics, new energy, and smart industries.
By the end of the visit, both sides confirmed their commitment to build on the results of these discussions and intensifying frameworks of technical cooperation during the coming phase, contributing to the establishment of an integrated national system for electromagnetic compatibility testing inside ARE, and supporting the state’s efforts to achieve a qualitative leap in the foreign trade system, and enhancing Egypt’s position on the global economic map as an advanced regional center for manufacturing and technical and technological services.
