Within the framework of the directives of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to support competitiveness of Egyptian products and enhance their access to the market, Engineer Essam El-Naggar, President of the GOEIC, inspects the proceedings of the second and final day of Egypt Retail Summit 2026, that gathered the representatives from retail chains, companies, manufacturers, suppliers, and both local and international purchasers.

The visit included an inspection tour during which President of the GOEIC reviewed the products on display, and he communicated with representatives of companies, manufacturers and suppliers to learn about their participation in the summit, and the opportunities it provides for direct communication with retail chains and building new business partnerships.

Proceedings of the concluding day witnessed ongoing business-to-business (B2B) meetings, bringing together manufacturers and suppliers with major retail chains as well as local and international buyers to explore opportunities of cooperation and procurement, and to strengthen the presence of products in local, regional, and international markets.

The visit conducted by GOEIC’s President comes as part of GOEIC’s commitment to engage with the business community and foster integration among stakeholders within the trade ecosystem, in such way that aims to enhance opportunities for marketing Egyptian products and boost their competitiveness, in line with GOEIC’s role in inspection, conformity verification, and ensuring the quality of circulated goods.
