Engineer Essam El Naggar reviews GOEIC's services to support the exporters through "Egypt Exports Initiative".

In implementation of the directives of Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, to expand the base of exporters, and to bring the services of the ministry’s agencies to companies in various governorates, and to raise their readiness to access global markets, Engineer Essam El Naggar, Chairman of the GOEIC, participated in the second session of the activities of the “Egypt Export” initiative that is organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade at Tanta University on July 29 and 30, under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.

Leaders from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and its affiliated bodies participated in these events, along with representatives of the business community, exporters and investors, within the framework of enhancing direct communication with companies and introducing the services and programs provided by the state to support the export journey.

Engineer Essam El Naggar confirmed that the GOEIC provides an integrated system of technical and regulatory services aimed at raising the readiness of companies for export, including inspection and testing services, issuing certificates of conformity, and introducing technical specifications and requirements and requirements for accessing different markets, in such way that helps companies to comply with international standards and enhance their competitiveness.

He explained that the GOEIC continues to develop its laboratories, raise the efficiency of inspection and testing services, and expand the scope of international accreditation, that supports the quality of Egyptian products, enhances confidence in the test results issued by it, and contributes to facilitating the access of exports to foreign markets.

President of the GOEIC demonstrated that the development efforts extend to expanding digital transformation, simplifying procedures, and reducing the time required to obtain services, which facilitates foreign trade and improves the level of services provided to the business community and exporters.

He added that GOEIC's Center of Excellence plays an important role in training and qualifying companies and workers in activities related to the foreign trade, through specialized programs that contribute to building capacities and raising awareness of technical requirements, quality and conformity requirements in the targeted markets.

Engineer Essam El Naggar confirmed that GOEIC's participation in the initiative comes within the framework of integration between the entities affiliated with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, with the aim of delivering government services to companies within the governorates and production clusters, especially small and medium enterprises, and supporting them in overcoming the challenges they face during the various stages of the export process.

He stressed that increasing exports does not depend only on the availability of marketing opportunities, but also begins with the quality of the product, its conformity to the specifications, and the ability of companies to meet the requirements of foreign markets. He affirmed that the GOEIC continues to provide technical and training support to exporters, which contributes to expanding the base of exporting companies and enhancing the global competitiveness of Egyptian products.

“Egypt Exports” initiative comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to implement the state policy aimed at increasing exports, supporting the private sector, reaching companies in various governorates, and introducing them to the services and programs available to qualify them and support their expansion in international markets.
