The Prime Minister follows up on the efforts of enhancing foreign trade and competitiveness of exports.

The Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to follow up on work axes of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade during the next stage, within the framework of implementing the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, concerning continuity of efforts of the structural reform, facilitating business environment, and enhancing competitiveness of Egyptian economy.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the State is paying an increasing attention through creating a stable and stimulating business environment, and supporting the private sector deemed as a key partner in increasing the growth rates, with a focus on developing exports and deepening integration into the global economy.

During the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, reviewed the short-term action axes that focus on simplifying procedures, digital transformation of companies' life-cycle, enhancing competitiveness of exports, solving problems of investors and exporters, and building an integrated data system to support decision-making.

The Minister also referred to the adoption of an approach that protects and develops exports through sectoral planning, linking incentives to performance, and facilitating access to global markets, in addition to updating regulatory frameworks and accounting standards to enhance the transparency and efficiency of business environment.

This comes in line with the State’s direction towards supporting foreign trade, increasing export rates, and raising the efficiency of services provided to the business community, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and achieving sustainable development.
