Rear Admiral Tarek Adly Abdullah, Chairman of Damietta Port Authority, received Engineer/ Essam El-Naggar, President of the GOEIC, during his inspection visit to the GOEIC's branch laboratories at the port.
This event was attended by Rear Admiral Dr. Ahmed Hamdi Abdel Aziz, Vice Chairman of the Board for Operations, Mr. El-Said Abu El-Saoud, Chief of Central Department of GOEIC's Branch at Damietta Port, and several branch leaders.
During the visit, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the Damietta Port Authority and the General Organization for Export and Import Control. This aims to develop mechanisms of inspection and quality control inside the port and accelerate procedures of releasing goods and merchandise in accordance with approved quality requirements and international standards applied in modern ports.
Engineer Essam El-Naggar also reviewed the developments in the work system and specialized laboratories in by the GOEIC's branch at Damietta Port, in such way that supports efficiency of the inspection system and positively impact the service of trade.
On his part, Rear Admiral Tarek Adly Abdullah praised the active role of the General Organization for Export and Import Control within the port, stressing the Damietta Port Authority's keenness to continue supporting joint cooperation in a way that contributes to improving logistical services, facilitating trade movement, and developing Egyptian exports
