Tunisian Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, Mrs. Fatma Thabet Chaiboub, received joint Egyptian-Tunisian Teamwork within the framework of implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Recognition of Conformity Certificates for Non-food Industrial Goods between Egypt and Tunisia.

On Wednesday, November 19, Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, Mrs. Fatma Thabet Chaiboub, received, at the Ministry headquarter, President of International Organization for Standardization (ISO), President of the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), Eng. Essam El Naggar, President of the General Authority for Standards and Quality (EOS), Dr. Khaled Soufy, in the presence of the Egyptian Ambassador to Tunisia Mr. Bassem Hassan, and Director General of the National Institute for Standardization and Industrial Property, Mr. Nafea Boutity.

This meeting falls within the framework of implementing Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Recognition of Conformity Certificates for Non-Food Industrial Goods between Egypt and Tunisia, that was concluded on the sidelines of the meeting of the joint Egyptian-Tunisian teamwork held in Tunisia from November 17 to 20, 2025.

The Minister indicated the distinguished level of Tunisian-Egyptian cooperation in various economic fields, confirming that this agreement will contribute to strengthening trade exchange and the flow of goods between the two countries and simplifying procedures, time and cost related to obtaining Certificates of Conformity for products.

In another context, today, the Egyptian delegation, headed by Eng. Essam El Naggar, paid a visit to the Tunisian Technical Center for Electrical and Mechanical Industries (CETIME), and tomorrow the delegation will visit the Technical Center for Textiles in order to exchange experiences and expertise in these fields between the two sides.
