Today, meetings with the European Union Delegation have been concluded, that included members from the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) subordinated to the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

Strengthening Strategic Trade Cooperation between Egypt and the European Union

The General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) had the pleasure of hosting a high-level delegation from the European Union and the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) within the framework of the EU P2P Programme for Strategic Trade Control of Dual-Use Goods.

The meeting was attended by representatives from various Egyptian ministries and competent national authorities, as well as a representative from the EU Delegation to Egypt, aiming to enhance awareness and capacity building cooperation in the field of strategic trade control while ensuring the facilitation of legitimate trade flows.

Eng. Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of GOEIC, welcomed the distinguished delegation and emphasized GOEIC’s pivotal role in conformity assessment, certification, trade registration, and origin certification, in addition to its advanced risk management system and testing capabilities supporting trade facilitation and regulatory efficiency.

This fruitful meeting reflects the shared interests of both sides to advancing capacity-building initiatives and developing future cooperation under the EU P2P framework.
