The Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) has approved extending the scope of accreditation for the GOEIC's Product Inspection Unit (PIU) in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO/IEC 17020:2012.
In the framework of the continuous endeavors and efforts exerted by Mr. Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of the GOEIC, to develop the GOEIC's services, support exportation, and open new markets for Egyptian exports, the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) has approved extending the scope of accreditation for the GOEIC's Product Inspection Unit in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO/IEC 17020:2012 through adding the following items:

This comes after the implemented corrective measures for non-conformity cases were accepted, due to the first assessment visit and extension of the accreditation scope for the Product Inspection Unit, on February 2 and 3, 2025.
The Product Inspection Unit provides the inspection services to manufacturers, exporters, importers and others all over the world. The scope of accreditation now includes the following items after the last assessment visit according to the International Standard: ISO/IEC17020:2012
Paper and paper products - Textiles and ready-made garments - footwear and leather products - Batteries - Cookware and tableware - Electrical household appliances.
