Eng. Essam El Naggar stated that the GOEIC now has a "Bioconversion" Laboratory for analyzing organic products such as plastics, textiles, detergents, paints, and fertilizers; in addition to a fire resistance testing laboratory that will be opened before Eid Al-Adha.
These two laboratories are unique in the Middle East.
The coming period will also witness launching an electronic platform containing "Foreign Trade Data" that is available to all.
Whereas the GOEIC possesses a treasure trove called "Foreign Trade Data" since 2005 and it contains all data related to the importer's name, tax number, customs certificate number, and the importing country.
The foreign companies currently depend upon the GOEIC in the export operations. His Excellency added that industry is the driver of development that helps strengthen the Egyptian economy.
In such regard, Engineer Essam El-Naggar demonstrated that accelerating inspections saved approximately 6,000 euros for each factory, contributing to cost reduction.
At the end of the discussion, Eng. Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of the GOEIC, stated that October 2023 was a watershed date in the history of the GOEIC, as since this time a Risk Management Department was established to contribute to accelerating customs release.
