Eng./ Hassan El Khatib: The General organization for Export and Import Control represents a major axis within the strategy of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade aimed at enhancing Egypt's foreign trade, both exports and imports, and achieving the objectives of the Ministry's plan, The Ministry is keen to improve the system of services provided to the community of exporters and importers.

The General organization for Export and Import Control, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of its establishment, announces its first annual forum to develop concepts to launch exports.

GOEIC celebrates the Golden Jubilee in cooperation with the Trade and Export Development Project in Egypt, funded by the United States Agency for International Development. It works to enhance Egypt's international trade, in the presence of the Ministers of Investment and Foreign Trade, Planning and International Cooperation, the Deputy Minister of Finance, the US Ambassador, a number of ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, and heads of export bodies and councils.

In the speech of Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, which he delivered at the first forum for developing export concepts, the General organization for Export and Import Control represents a main axis within the strategy of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade aimed at enhancing Egypt's foreign trade, both exports and imports, and achieving the objectives of the Ministry's plan. The Ministry is keen to improve the system of services provided to the community of exporters and importers. The General organization for Export and Import Control works to facilitate the movement of trade and remove obstacles from the shoulders of the Egyptian exporter by committing to implementing the latest systems and rules followed internationally in the procedures for inspection and release of exported and imported shipments, which contributes to facilitating the movement of foreign trade between Egypt and various global markets.

The Minister pointed out that the Ministry is preparing a future vision for investment and trade policies during the period from 2024 to 2030.

It includes a number of main determinants, including the announcement of a document for Egypt’s investment and trade policies over the next ten years, targeting the government’s vision and related policies. Whether monetary, financial or commercial, and restoring the confidence of local and foreign investors in government policies towards investment and production and maximizing the role of the private sector in industry and production. And enhancing their ability to predict these policies. The Minister of Investment explained that this vision aims to give absolute priority to manufacturing for export purposes in particular. Deepening the added value in Egyptian exports, taking into account the comparative and competitive advantages of national industries, while adopting strategies to diversify the economy away from reliance on traditional sectors, and emphasizing that the Egyptian economy is a free market economy, with the private sector being the focus and driver of development

 Al-Khatib stressed the keenness of the Ministry and its affiliated agencies to provide all forms of support to the business community and overcome all challenges, which contributes to the flow of Egypt's foreign trade movement, both export and import.

Al-Khatib expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the arms and cadres of the General organization for Export and Import Control. He also thanked the partners of success and international organizations for their support in transferring technology and ideas that support the transition to a green economy

He expressed his hope to achieve the country's goals towards creating a comprehensive economic renaissance, the effects of which will be positively reflected on Egypt's position on the global competitiveness map.
