General Organization for Export and Import control
- 464 thousand shipments, including 276.841 thousand food samples and 187.203 thousand industrial samples have been examined.
- Conducting 29,887 commercial registrations in the register of importers, the register of exporters, the register of commercial agents and foreign offices, and the register of production requirements, real estate brokerage, and advertising.
- Issuing 423.206 thousand origin certificates
- The opening of the new central laboratories at GOEIC’s branch in Ain Sokhna Port, and the opening of GOEIC’s offices at the headquarters of the Chambers of commerce in several governorates.
- Receiving 105,321 incoming shipments from abroad, including 89,670 industrial shipments and 15,651 non-industrial shipments.
- Issuing more than 85 free sale certificates to Egyptian companies exporting to African and Arab countries, and 60 certificates of conformity for products to the Saudi Saber system.
- Training 2,972 trainees in the fields of the export and import practice programs, the import regulations, ISO, and occupational safety and health.
- Signing a memorandum of understanding to start implementing the Korean Knowledge Exchange Program (KSP program) project which specializes in establishing and developing GOEIC’s integrated risk management system.
- Concluding 7 cooperation protocols with the Egyptian company for Export Guarantee, TÜV Austria Company, the Egyptian Exporters Association “Expolink”, and Heliopolis University, with the aim of transferring expertise and exchanging information.
- Accreditation of the laboratory (acoustics tests - safety tests) in the Cairo Airport branch, and tests for examining all types of cement in the chemical laboratories in the Damietta Port branch, and 3 tests in the Port Said Port laboratories and the petroleum products inspection laboratory in the Suez Port.
- modernization a qualified Center of Excellence for preparing human cadres, which trained 1,000 students from Egyptian universities, trained GOEIC’s employees and leaders, and trained delegations of some African countries, and a number of businessmen and exporters interested in the field of export
- Extending the scope of accreditation for the unit issuing conformity certificates for internationally approved products in accordance with the requirements of ISO17065:2012 in 4 new Fields, reaching the total of certificates granted by the unit to be 8 certificates.
- Participating in several exhibitions to promote GOEIC’s services, such as the Gulfood Exhibition and the Intra-African Trade Exhibition
