Important instructions for issuing pre-shipment inspection certificates Pre-Inspection Companies Requirements for pre-shipment inspection certificates: 1- The pre-shipment inspection certificate should be issued by one of the branches of the registered companies at GOEIC according to the field of accreditation, and the allowed places of inspection. 2- The pre-shipment inspection certificate can be accepted from the branches of the registered companies at GOEIC (each according to its field of accreditation) located outside the exports country, to be documented from Chamber of Commerce, and the Egyptian Embassy in the exports country. 3- Concerning the food products imported from Europe and Turkey, the pre-shipment inspection certificate can be accepted from one of the branches of inspection companies located in any of the European Union and Turkey and registered at GOEIC (each according to its field of accreditation) 4- The pre-shipment inspection certificate can be accepted if it is issued by international inspection and auditing companies, and internationally accredited according to the international standard ISO 17020 (each according to its field of accreditation) and not registered at GOEIC, but to be documented from Chamber of Commerce, and the Egyptian Embassy in the exports country.

Inspection of more than ( 3 Million Tons) at GOEIC Labs during August 2019 News M.G. Ismael Gaber the Chairman of GOEIC announced that GOEIC Labs inspected a number of (17998) laboratory shipments during August 2019 with total weight (3.429.128 Tons). (17795) shipments of them were accepted with total weight (3.404.489 Tons), while (203) shipments were rejected with total weight (24.639 Tons) for not conforming the Egyptian standard specifications. GOEIC performance indicators explained that the industrial labs inspected (11993) industrial shipment with total weight (706.917 Tons) during August 2019. (11907) shipments of them were accepted with total weight (706.452 Tons) where the most important accepted items: (cars spare parts – cloths – tableware), while (86) industrial shipments were rejected with total weight (465 Tons) where the most important rejected items: (bags, wallets and shoes – filters – electric tools). As for the Food Labs, GOEIC inspected (6005) food shipments with total weight (2.722.211 Tons) during the same period of time. (5888) shipments of them were accepted with total weight (2.698.037 Tons) where the most important accepted items: (grains – meat – fish- vegetarian oil and fats), while (117) shipments were rejected with total weight (24.174 Tons) where the most important rejected items: (roasted coffee - mackerel - feeds - frozen liver, kidney and hearts – shrimps – fillet fish (basa) – sesame oil – fats spread – rose and berries syrup – kinds of cheese – fresh apple – basmati rice – perfumes)
