Training (6515) trainees of the non-employees at GOEIC Training Centre News GOEIC Training Centre has trained a number of (6515) trainees of the non-employees. Including (6005) trainees of Importers at 'Practicing Importation' program through (149) programs started on August 6th 2017 to February 13th 2020, and (501) trainees of Exporters at 'Practicing Exportation' program through (21) programs from October 28th 2018 to February 6th 2020. As GOEIC is very keen to develop its human resources, GOEIC Training Centre prepares training courses for the employees to raise their efficiency, and create trained human cadres, and the most prominent of these programs are: {Methods of detection of Salmonella microbe causing food poisoning according to ISO 6579/2017 standard specifications}, {Strategic goods, and grasses and their pests and diseases}, and {ISO 9001/2015}. Issuing a number of (35.351) Certificates of Origin during February 2020 News GOEIC issued a number of (35351) Certificates of Origin during February 2020 in accordance with the rules of origin protocols applied by the preferential agreements concluded between Egypt and other countries to apply exemptions and customs benefits granted to Egyptian exports, these certificates were among: (The League of Arab States Logo - Bilateral Agreement – COMESA – MERCSOUR – EUR1 – FORMA-A – etc.) GOEIC also verified the origin of exported goods to and from countries with which preferential agreements are concluded with a number of (171) export certificates, and (1) import certificate. In addition to what GOEIC do in examining the notifications from the European Union's rapid alert unit, and the notifications from the rest of the world countries concerning the rejected shipments, and the necessary procedures were taken.   GOEIC is also following up on the latest executive position concerning the memorandums of understanding signed between Egypt and (Tunisia – Jordan – Kuwait – Saudi Arabia – Lebanon – Sudan – Bahrain – Oman – Somalia & Senegal - Agadir Agreement States) in the field of mutual recognition of Conformity certificates for the industrial (not food) goods.

Inspection of (11.708) shipments at GOEIC Labs during January 2020 News GOEIC Labs inspected number of (11.708) laboratory shipments during January 2020 with total weight (2.314.599) tons. (11.553) shipments of them were accepted with total weight (2.312.602) tons, while (155) shipments were rejected with total weight (1.997) tons for not conforming the Egyptian standard specifications. GOEIC performance indicators explained that the industrial labs inspected (9.846) industrial shipment with total weight (626.422) tons during January 2020. While (9802) shipments of them were accepted with total weight (626.101) tons where the most important accepted items: (cloths - cars spare parts - tableware) while (44) industrial shipments were rejected with total weight (321) tons where the most important rejected items: (bags - wallets and shoes - filters - electric tools). As for the Food Labs, GOEIC inspected (1.862) food shipments with total weight (1.688.177) tons during the same period of time. (1.751) shipments of them were accepted with total weight (1.686.501) tons where the most important accepted items: (grains - meat- fish- vegetarian oil and fats) while (111) shipments were rejected with total weight (1.676) tons where the most important rejected items: (frozen liver - castor oil - feed additives - frozen mackerel  and sardines - pistachio - pure palm oil - black pepper - frozen crab).
