Countries of Agreements
General Department for Commercial Agreements and Verification:
- Participating in meetings of trade agreements related to the nature and function of the GOEIC to assume its role in facilitating Egyptian commerce and providing preferential privileges for exports.
- Checking subsequent verification requests received from the customs of countries with which preferential commercial agreements are concluded, carrying out verification procedures to validate certificates of origin and the origin of Egyptian exports in accordance with its Protocol of Rules of Origin and responding to such requests.
- The department checks whether the goods imported from countries with which preferential agreements are concluded meet the Protocol of Rules of Origin of these countries based on the referral of the lot and its documents from the Egyptian customs to the GOEIC in accordance with the decision No. 597 of 2002 issued by the Prime Minister.
