Honoring the head of the General Organization for Export and Import Control during the celebration of the International Day of Customs

In the frame work of the international day of customs celebration, under the motto" advancing the digital transformation of customs by adopting a culture of data and building an inter-data system" and under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Maait, the minister of finance and the secretary-general of the World Customs. Organization, engineer Essam El-Nagar, the chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control, was honored for his work on the success of the experiment of exchanging data with the Customs Authority, which was reflected in the harmony of the movement of customs data and as one of the partners in the structural system of statistical data for international trade movement.

Eng. Essam Al-Nagar indicated that the General Organization for Export and Import Control represents a major axis within the strategy of the Ministry of Trade and Industry  that aims to promote and develop the foreign trade and achieve the objectives of the Egyptian state plan to reach the value of exports to 100 billion dollars annually, especially in light of GOEIC’s possession of a large number of competencies and young cadres that can be benefited from in upgrading the services system and accelerating the implementation of procedures, in line with the requirements of the digital transformation adopted by the state.

He, also, stressed that GOEIC is keen on permanent communication with the community of exporters and importers with the aim of informing them of the latest services provided by GOEIC with the aim of facilitating for the business community in a way that contributes to opening new export markets for Egyptian products in various foreign markets.
