As a part of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade’s directives aimed at improving the national quality system, enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products and increasing their access to regional and global markets, the GOEIC continued its efforts to develop its laboratories system and raise its technical efficiency in accordance with best international practices.
In this context, the food laboratories of the GOEIC’s branch in Aswan obtained accreditation in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025, after fulfilling the necessary technical and administrative requirements to prove the efficiency of the testing laboratories, which confirms their readiness to work according to an internationally recognized system.
This accreditation is considered as an international recognition of the laboratory’s capacity for conducting tests and analyses using documented scientific methods, through qualified technical cadres, and devices and equipment subject to calibration and verification programs, and effective quality systems that ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results of examination and testing, in such way that enhances the confidence of clients in the services provided by the GOEIC.
This achievement will contribute to supporting the state’s efforts to facilitate trade, enhance food safety and quality, and protect consumers, in addition to providing internationally recognized inspection results that help exporters meet the requirements of target markets, consequently supporting the growth of Egyptian exports and increasing their competitiveness in global markets.
