Eng. Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control, confirmed that the GOEIC's Center of Excellence has been accredited by the Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAOA) at the national level.

El-Naggar stated that this step comes within the framework of the GOEIC's plan for supporting businessmen, increasing Egyptian exports, and linking scientific research with the Foreign Trade, and in implementation of the Sustainable Development Strategy (Egypt’s Vision 2030).

The General Organization for Export and Import Control, through the Center, aims to raise the efficiency of the GOEIC's Administrative Agency, by developing the leadership and administrative capabilities and skills for the senior and middle management cadres.

In this regard, Dr. Eman El Nahhas, Head of the Central Administration of the Center of Excellence, demonstrated that the center has been accredited for building capabilities and it has been included in the guidebook of accredited training centers at the national level in the following fields: Specialization of the entity’s work - administrative training - computer - languages.

She denoted that several training courses in carbon field have been started, most importantly the following: 

  1. Identification of the EU tool, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and its impact on Egyptian Exports to European Countries.
  2. Services provided by Environmental Validation and Verification Unit EVVU for increasing Egyptian Exports.
  3. Training Courses about the importance of Transition to Green Economy

She pointed out that we are currently implementing the protocols signed with various Egyptian universities to support our students and increase their economic awareness, along with directing attention and cooperation between the Center of Excellence and the Talent Development Department regarding some topics such as institutional affiliation and job loyalty, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.

We also adopt modern trends in training, including distance training via electronic platforms, that contributes to changing the philosophy of the training system, and provides an opportunity for training a larger number of those dealing with the GEOIC in several economic fields and giving them experiences in import and export operations.

Eng. Khaled Nabil Mahdi, General Director of Planning and Implementation of Capabilities Building Programs, explained that we are working within the framework of a clear plan for the process of developing and strengthening skills, capabilities, and organizational procedures, and developing the resources required by foreign trade sectors to keep pace with a quickly changing world to transform from the crises to promising investment opportunities in many sectors and to learn about the system of procedures in the fields of export, import, and risk management.

This comes within the framework of linking the scientific research and building capabilities for increasing the Egyptian exports to reach 145 billion dollars in the according to the State's strategic plan.
