Eng. / Essam Al-Naggar, Chairman of General Organization for Export and Import Control, received a delegation from the National institute of German calibration.
Mrs. Maria Cezan Sassi - Project Manager, reviewed the work plan that will be implemented by the National institute of German calibration ,and all bodies working in the field of conformity assessment, including the General Organization for Export and Import Control, and that is through supporting the infrastructure for standards and quality in Egypt for all governmental and private sectors, and raising the efficiency of labs concerned with the application of conformity assessment for food commodities. Also, she added that the National institute of German calibration will provide the necessary training for individuals working in the field of conformity assessment.
Eng. / Essam Al-Naggar, Chairman of GOEIC, also presented a brief overview of GOEIC's approved food labs and their locations, explaining that the laboratories' accreditations meet all the requirements for examination and conformity assessment.
In addition, His Excellency referred to GOEIC's plan to support the COP27 Climate Change Conference by establishing laboratories to measure the carbon footprint of products.
At the end of the meeting, Eng. / Essam Al-Naggar, Chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control, expressed his pleasure to meet the delegation of the National institute of German calibration.
