The delegation accompanying them and a number of the leaders of (GOEIC).

This meeting comes within the framework of signing an agreement between Cairo Air Port Company and Changi Airports Singapore for the purpose of providing feasibility studies for the operation of the Logistics Cargo City.

During the meeting, Eng. Essam Al-Naggar, Chairman of (GOEIC), reviewed the regulatory role of (GOEIC) and the capabilities of its locally and internationally accredited laboratories, issuing certificates of origin, commercial registrations, and foreign trade data. He explained that (GOEIC) is responsible for examining industrial and non-industrial goods, with the exception of food and medicine.

He also referred to the application of a risk system for (GOEIC) to mitigate storage inside ports, stating that the inspection process within (GOEIC) is subject to three stages: -

1. Documentary examination phase.

2.The virtual examination phase is the conformity of the goods contained in the documents submitted.

3.The laboratory examination phase is subject to international standards.

Eng. Essam Al-Naggar also explained that (GOEIC) is currently working on developing its website after launching it in three languages (Arabic, English and French) so that payment can be made online.

Developing the call center system of (GOEIC) and launching a unit to facilitate the work of exporters. There is also cooperation with the Singaporean side in launching a commercial platform in cooperation with the Ministry of International Cooperation.

Mr. Mohamed Ahmed, Head of the Central Administration for Information Systems and Digital Transformation, indicated that (GOEIC) has owned foreign trade databases since 2005, (GOEIC) and all regulatory authorities currently work through a one-stop-shop system through an effective system (NAFEZA) instead of submitting many papers and documents to many regulatory authorities, in order to facilitate the community of the Businessmen and increasing investments within the Arab Republic of Egypt.
