Renewal of registration in the Exporters Register

Service purpose:

Renewal of registration data for establishments and companies registered in the Exporters Register in accordance with Law 118/1975 and Regulation 770/2005

Renewal date:

  • An application for renewal of registration shall be submitted every five years from the date of registration or the last renewal
  • The export card can be renewed 90 days before the card’s expiry date and for a year following the expiry date.

Place of service:

  • Branches : MAROUF – 6th of October - Alexandria - Port Said - Suez - Damietta - Office of the Investors Services Complex in the General Investment Authority
  • Taking into account obtaining the service from the place where the file was opened for the first time upon registration

Conditions for renewal of registration and documents required to renew the exporters register:

First: the individual establishment

A- Conditions for renewal of registration:

  1. No more than a year has passed since the expiry of the export card without renewing its validity
  2. That the commercial registry has not been erased due to the expiration of the natural personality.
  3. That the file at the Tax Authority has not been permanently suspended due to the expiration of the natural personality
  4. That the natural personality has not expired due to the death of the person concerned
  5. That the head office fixed in the commercial registry has not been changed from one governorate to another/li>
  6. That the export activity registered in the commercial register submitted at registration or last renewal has not been canceled, and if the facility is subject to the Investment Law 8/1997 and amended by Law 72/2017, the export activity in the commercial register submitted at registration or last renewal should not have been modified to become specific to a category.
  7. That the capital has not been modified to be less than the minimum legally prescribed.
  8. That a decision has not been issued by the Minister of trade and Industry to suspend (for one year) or cancel its registration(for 3 years) due to the source’s perpetration of one of the perversions mentioned in Articles 62-63 of Regulation 2005/770,Or A decision was issued to suspend or cancel the registration, and the penalty period has expired

B- Registration renewal documents:

  1. An original renewal application form identical to the commercial register signed by the concerned person, his agent, or his authorized representative (if existed)
  2. A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for viewing
  3. The renewal declaration signed by the person concerned or the authorized agent whose name is mentioned in the commercial register (if existed) in front of the competent employee, or the authenticity of the signature is certified by an approved bank.
  4. A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for viewing
  5. If the applicant for renewal is an agent or authorized representative
    • A copy of a notarized authorized from the original real estate registry for perusal (even a second agent is accepted only)
    • Or an original authorization with a valid signature from the bank or signed by the person concerned or the authorized representative before the competent employee.
    • Acknowledgment of the validity of the authorized signed by the agent (if the applicant for renewal is an agent).
  6. A recent official extract from the commercial register, valid for a period of not less than 90 days, and an update that has not been issued for more than 90 days, including
    • The registered capital is not less than EGP 10,000 (in the case of productive projects) and is not less than EGP 25,000 (in the case of other projects).
    • The activity of trading, exporting, producing, supplying, distributing, or marketing, except for those who are subject to Investment Law 8 of 1997 or Law No. 72/2017, so the export activity must not be specified by category.
  7. A copy of the mechanized tax card is valid and conforms to the commercial register and the original for viewing
  8. If the holder of the export practice certificate in the file is an employee of the facility, he shall be submitted to prove that he is still working in the facility.
    • The origin of the insurance print (insurances form)
    • A copy of his ID and the original for viewing

Secondly, partnership and money companies

A - Conditions for renewal of registration:

  1. That no more than a year has passed since the expiry of the export card without renewing its validity
  2. That the commercial register has not been erased due to the expiration of the legal personality
  3. That the file at the Tax Authority has not been permanently suspended due to the expiration of the legal personality.
  4. That the legal entity of the company has not been changed and as a result the legal personality has expired.
  5. That the head office fixed in the commercial registry has not been changed from one governorate to another
  6. That the export activity registered in the commercial register submitted at registration or last renewal has not been canceled, And if the facility is subject to the Investment Law 8/1997 and amended by Law 72/2017, the export activity in the commercial register submitted at registration or last renewal should not have been modified to become specific to a category
  7. That the capital has not been modified to be less than the legally prescribed minimum
  8. That a decision has not been issued by the Minister of trade and Industry for the company (for one year) or to cancel its registration (for a period of 3 years) because the source committed one of the offenses mentioned in Articles 62-63 of Regulation 770/2005, or a decision was issued to suspend or cancel the registration and the penalty period has expired

B - Registration renewal documents:

  1. An original request for renewal of the exporters register identical to the commercial register signed by the person who has the right to manage and sign in the commercial register, his agent or whomever he authorizes
  2. A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for viewing
  3. Acknowledgment of renewal signed by those who have the right to manage and sign in the commercial registry in front of the competent employee, or the authenticity of the signature certified by an approved bank.
  4. A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for viewing
  5. If the applicant for renewal is an agent or authorized representative:
    • A copy of a notarized authorized from the real estate registry and the original for review (even a second agent is accepted only) or an original authorization signed by someone who has the right to manage and sign before the competent employee, or the authenticity of the signature is certified by an approved bank.
    • Acknowledgment of the validity of the authorized signed by the agent (if the applicant is an agent)
  6. A recent official extract from the commercial register, valid for a period of not less than 90 days, and an update that has not been issued for more than 90 days, including
    • The registered capital is not less than EGP 20,000 (in the case of production projects).Not less than EGP 50,000 (in the case of other projects)
    • The activity of trading, exporting, producing, supplying, distributing or marketing, except for those who are subject to the Investment Law 8/1997 or 72/2017.
  7. A copy of the mechanized tax card is valid and conforms to the commercial register and the original for viewing
  8. If the holder of the existing export practice certificate, the file still exists, it is submitted to prove it
    • If he is an employee of the company, he presents the original insurance print (insurance form) and a copy of his identity card with review of the original
    • If he is a limited partner, he presents a copy of his identity document and the company contract

Third, public sector companies

A - Conditions for renewal of registration

  1. That no more than a year has passed since the expiry of the export card without renewing its validity
  2. The commercial register, if existed, has not been erased due to the expiration of the legal personality
  3. That the file at the Tax Authority has not been permanently suspended due to the expiration of the legal personality
  4. That the legal entity of the company has not been changed and as a result the legal personality has expired
  5. That the head office fixed in the commercial registry has not been changed from one governorate to another
  6. That a decision has not been issued by the Minister of trade and Industry for the company (for one year) or to cancel its registration(for a period of 3 years) because the source committed one of the offenses mentioned in Articles 62-63 of Regulation 770/2005, or a decision was issued to suspend or cancel the registration and the penalty period has expired

B - Registration renewal documents:

  1. An original renewal application form identical to the commercial register signed by the chairman of the board of directors or whoever has the right to manage and sign in the commercial register, the establishment deed, the memorandum of association, his agent or whomever he authorizes (if existed)
  2. A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for viewing
  3. Renewal decision signed by whoever has the right to manage and sign in the commercial register, establishment deed, or memorandum of association in front of the competent employee, or the authenticity of the signature is certified by an approved bank, or by the seal of the authority or institution, or by the seal of the holding company or the ministry to which it belongs.
  4. A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for viewing
  5. If the applicant for renewal is an agent or authorized person
    • A copy of a notarized authorized from the original real estate registry for perusal (even a second agent is accepted)
      OR an original authorization with a valid signature from the bank
    • Acknowledgment of the validity of the authorized signed by the agent (if the applicant for renewal is an agent)
  6. A recent official extract from the commercial register, valid for a period of not less than 90 days, and an update that has not been issued for more than 90 days.
    In the absence of a commercial register, the following is submitted
    • A letter with a live seal from the holding company or the ministry to which the authority or institution is affiliated stating that it does not have a commercial register and that exporting is one of its purposes.
    • Or a copy of the establishment deed or incorporation contract with a live seal from the holding company or the ministry to which the company is affiliated.
  7. A copy of the decision to appoint the board of directors with a live seal from the holding company or the ministry to which the company is affiliated.
  8. A copy of the mechanized tax card is valid and conforms to the commercial register and the original for viewing
  9. If the holder of the export practice certificate in the file is an employee of the company, institution or body, he shall be submitted to prove that he is still working there.
    • The origin of the insurance print (insurances form)
    • A copy of his ID
  10. In the event that the work of the export official in the file is terminated, or there is no evidence that the export official is still an employee of the company,
    • Original of a new export practice certificate or receipt of payment of the export practice course fees
    • The name of the person whose name is mentioned in the commercial register, the establishment deed, the incorporation contract, or the person responsible for exporting the employee of the company, institution or authority

Fourth, associations or federations:

A- Conditions for renewal of registration

  1. Which no more than a year has passed since the expiry of the export card without renewing its validity
  2. The commercial register, if existed, has not been erased due to the expiration of the legal personality
  3. That the file has not been suspended at the Tax Authority, if there is a final suspension due to the expiration of the legal personality
  4. That the head office fixed in the commercial registry has not been changed from one governorate to another
  5. That a decision has not been issued by the Minister of trade and Industry for the company (for one year) or to cancel its registration (for a period of 3 years) due to the source’s perpetration of one of the perversions mentioned in Articles 62-63 of Regulation 2005/770, A decision was issued to suspend or cancel the registration, and the penalty period has expired.

B - Registration renewal documents:

  1. The original renewal application form signed by the person who has the right to manage and sign, or his agent or whomever he authorizes (if existed)
  2. A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for viewing
  3. Acknowledgment of renewal signed by whoever has the right to manage and sign in front of the competent employee, or the authenticity of the signature is certified by an approved bank
  4. A copy of the national ID card or passport of the applicant and the original for viewing
  5. If the applicant for renewal is an agent or authorized representative,
    • A copy of a notarized authorized from the original real estate registry for perusal (even a second agent is accepted)Or an original authorization with a valid signature from the bank
    • Acknowledgment of the validity of the authorized signed by the agent (if the renewal applicant is an agent)
  6. A recent official extract from the commercial register, valid for a period of not less than 90 days, and an update that has not been issued for more than 90 days.
    In the absence of a commercial register:
    An original letter with a true seal from the entity to which the association or union is affiliated stating that there has been no change in the data and the continuation of the board of directors.
  7. A copy of the valid mechanized tax card and the original for viewing, Or an original tax letter stating the exemption (in case of exemption).
  8. If the holder of the export practice certificate in the file is an employee of the association or union, he shall submit to prove that he is still working with them:
    • The origin of the insurance print (insurances form)
    • A copy of his ID

Registration procedures

  1. Book an appointment through Goeic’s website (in case the application is submitted with a favor - October - the office of the Investors Services Complex in the General Investment Authority only)

  2. Submitting the required documents in accordance with Regulation 770/2005 (In case the documents required for the service are not completed, another appointment will be booked through the organization’s website)
  3. Check the required documents
  4. Determine the value of the fees determined through the application receiving window.
  5. Pay the fees to the authority’s treasury with a visa
  6. Technical and financial auditor
  7. Enter the data of the exporters register card
  8. The person concerned should review the card before wrapping it and receiving it
  9. Packaging and delivery

General Notes:

  3. A resource development stamp is presented of 2 pounds + a stamp of 1 pound on copy of the authorized.
  4. The agent may not sign the personal declarations that must be submitted by the person concerned, the authorized agent, or those who have the right to administer and sign.
  5. In the event that one of those who fulfill the declarations travels outside the country, the declarations and a copy of the passport shall be authenticated by the Egyptian embassy or consulate abroad.
  6. Declarations are valid for 3 months, and the authorization is valid for one time and for one procedure only
  7. If the person concerned or who has the right to manage and sign outside the country and delegate his legal representative to submit an application for obtaining the service at the authority, the power of attorney issued by a foreign authority must be certified by the Egyptian embassy or consulate abroad and deposited in the real estate registry in Egypt.
  8. The activity in the commercial register is limited to specific items. Those items are specified in the export card.
  9. If the facility exports its products only according to the commercial register, it is considered a production project, but if the facility exports other than its products according to the commercial register, it is considered as other projects.
  10. Export Practice Certificate:
    • In the event that the work of the export official in the file is terminated, or there is no evidence that the export official is still employed in the company, a new export practice certificate shall be submitted.

    • It is issued by one of the centers approved by the Ministry of trade and Industry, which are:
      • The training center at the headquarters of GOEIC or the foreign trade training center or from the Chamber of Commerce
    • In the event that the export practice certificate is not completed upon request for renewal, a copy of the training course reservation receipt can be submitted and a temporary card for the exporters’ register can be obtained for a period of three months until the export practice certificate is completed

  11. in a case of presenting a commercial registry for a period of less than 5 years, the expiry date of the commercial registry is the expiry date of the exporter's registry card
  12. After renewing the card, the customs card must be activated from the customs computer - car customs at Cairo International Airportcar customs at Cairo International Airport
  13. modification
    • Upon renewal, in the event of any amendment to the commercial registration data, the documents relating to this amendment shall be submitted and the renewal and amendment fees shall be collected.
    • You can refer to the modification service on the website to know the procedures and documents required to obtain the service.
    • The organization must be notified of any amendment to the commercial register or tax card within 60 days from the occurrence of the amendment.
    • If, upon renewal of the registration, it appears that an effective modification has occurred in the registration by missing one of the renewal conditions, the renewal shall not take place and the registration shall be administratively written off.
  14. If a decision is issued by the Minister of trade and Industry to suspend the facility for a period of one year because the exporter committed one of the violations mentioned in Articles 62 and 63 of Regulation 770/2005, no transaction request for the facility will be accepted during the suspension period.
