Registering factories and companies eligible to export their products to Egypt (resolution 43)

In order to review and verify the required documents before the actual submission of it, the service allows the mechanism of submitting documents via GOEIC portal directly.

In order to review and verify the required documents before the actual submission of it, the service allows the mechanism of submitting documents via GOEIC portal directly.

Requirements of Service

  • ·         The customer shall have an active e-services account on the online portal.

    ·         The procedure must be completed at the GOEICs headquarters within 15 days from the date of submitting the application via the portal.

    ·         If the certificate is permanently rejected, the certificate shall be submitted again through a new application.

    ·         Inspection of the applicant institutions takes five business days. The final response will include acceptance or refusal decision with the reason of refusal in order to eliminate such, then registering the institution once again.

    ·         If the institution is rejected, please review the reason of the rejection well, make the required modification on the application, and then submit the certificate again.

Required Documents

  • ·         All the following documents shall be documented by the Chamber of Commerce or its replacement and authenticated by the Egyptian Embassy abroad.

    ·         The submitted documents shall be accompanied by a certified translation by one of the accredited translation centers.

    ·         Required documents for registering a factory:

    1.      An authorization letter issued by the legal representative of the factory to the person authorized to register, and printed on the factory official paper.

    2.      Factory industrial license.

    3.      List of the factory products printed on the factorys official paper.

    4.      List of trademarks printed on the factory official paper.

    5.      Trademark certificate:

    1.      In case of: The factory has a trademark

    §  The certificate issued by the official body of trademark ownership registration.

    2.      In case of: The factory doesnt own a trademark, but produce products with trademarks owned by others

    §  The license issued to the factory by the trademark owner shall prove that the owner of this trademark grants a license to produce under the owner's trademark.

    §  The certificate issued by the official body of trademark ownership registration.

    3.      In case of: the factory doesnt own a trademark:

    §  A letter printed on the factory official paper stating that the factory does not own a trademark, but produces under the name of the factory.

    6.      Quality certificate:
    A certificate to prove that the factory applies a quality system related to product quality, and this certificate shall be issued from a body recognized by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) or the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), provided that the certificate shall be issued in English.

    ·         Documents required for the registration of trademark owner companies:

    1.      Letter of authorization, printed on the factory official paper, from the legal representative of the company to the person authorized to register.

    2.      Commercial register of the company.

    3.      List of the company products printed on the company official paper.

    4.      List of factories that produce products under that trademark, addresses, and nationalities of this trademark, printed on the company official paper.

    5.      List of the distribution centers authorized to supply products with this trademark printed on the company official paper.

    6.      List of trademarks printed on the factory official paper.

    7.      Trademark certificate: The certificate issued by the official body of trademark ownership registration.

    8.      Quality certificate:

     

    §  Certificates state that the product factories apply quality systems related to product quality, and these certificates shall be issued from bodies recognized by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) or the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), provided that the certificates shall be issued in English.

Services Procedure

  1. 1.      Review all electronically submitted copies of documents and then document the originals.

    2.      Document the original of documents.

    3.      Approve the decision by the Engineer/ Minister of Trade and Industry.

Duration of Service

  • The approval is given by Engineer/ Minister of Trade and Industry and published in the Official Gazette.
